lace wedding invitation
Vintage is in and we'll see vintage influences reminiscent of the glory days of Hollywood and beyond. Romance is everywhere, seen in light and airy styles, strapless gowns, antique lace, satin ribbons for straps and ruffles.  Couples are also personalising more, with items such as monograms. Classic ideas with a modern twist are big next year!

Environmental factors are also having an impact on both colour and material choices.  Brides are choosing to go “green” for their weddings.
At Glyn Archer Graphic Design, we can offer wedding stationery created with recycled paper made by Thailand’s elephants!  The paper is made from 100% elephant dung, in much the same way as mulberry paper - but with elephant paper, each item sold  helps to save Thailand’s elephants and provide income for Thai families.
To find out more about their fantastic work, go to www.greenelephant.org.uk.

The buzz words of the wedding season are bows, ribbons and lace. No, you don't need to look like an 80's throwback but if you want to keep up with modern trends, somewhere in your plans you must include ribbons and lace!
Designer wedding dresses have been paraded up and down the catwalk absolutely dripping with ribbons. Cakes, stationery and footwear can also be found adorned with bows and lace.
A great way to use ribbons successfully is to incorporate them in your bouquet and other floral decorations, or in your wedding hairstyle.
Colours:  Blues will still be strong but will be matched more often with metallics such as gold, silver, grey and platinum. The brown/blue and pink/brown combinations will be “so last year”, by next year!   The hottest colour for next season is purple, so expect to see everything ranging from pale lavender to deep aubergine. Bold jewel tone colours will also be hot as brides seek bolder statements with stronger wedding colours, including rich purples, golds, oranges, and reds.
